Utilizing paint and yarn, materials that I associate with my mom’s ’90s craft chest, I created “I Think About You All the Time.” I hope to examine the power of contributing to the world through play and crafts. These were values that were often exhibited and celebrated by women in my life, specifically my mom, Carol. With an intentional focus on the practice of “arts and crafts,” I invite viewers to create, craft, and connect to the version of themselves that they admire the most, perhaps recognizing the influence of a woman who nurtured them along the way.
