Portrait of Anita shows my cousin Anita in my studio, where she modeled for me throughout my career. We grew up together and share wonderful childhood memories. And while our paths have created a geographical distance, we remain close and supportive of each other at all times. She was a single mother for many years and while I was focused on my education, she worked hard to support herself and her child. I admire her determination and ability to overcome obstacles with grace. She keeps a positive outlook on life and sees blue skies even on a cloudy day.
